Zziplex Rods

The new 3500 replaces the World Famous 2500 series of rods. The original 2500 series ran for18 years and was the rod that all other Salt Water Match rods were judged by. It has been a difficult task to replace the 2500 with a superior rod, however after many prototypes and field tests we are now sure that the new Zziplex 3500 supercedes the original 2500 series technically and practically. The tip of the new 3500 is 7'. This shorter length offers obvious convenience of transport whilst the construction of the new 3500 tip produces a superior performance, mainly due to a much higher carbon content. The tip of new 3500 is of a totally new construction, which has been developed by Zziplex, it reduces tip weight, giving it a far better balance. This new Fishing rod has been designed to cast well from the ground as well as pendulum. The 6' slim super light butt gives the 3500 an overall length of 12' 8", which with the new tip gives a better balance than most long rods. Its optimum Casting weight when fishing is 150g but it will fish well with weights ranging from 2oz to 6oz. 06/03 jj

The rod was developed after many requests for a powerful fishing rod capable of lifting sizable fish and for cleaning tackle from kelp and rough ground, the power runs much further up the tip and the mid section is also stiffened considerably although the very tip has been lleft basically the same as the originally rod for good bite indication. 06/03 jj ( not the right image )

Powertex Bass. It's the perfect tool for the Atlantic storm beach, It flicks a 2 or 3 oz lead miles! The finished rod weighs just over 400 grams, it has an overall length of 12 ft 8 inches and a butt diameter of only 7/8. Optimum casting weight is 3 oz. A very light weight beach caster designed to be hand held. Light Bass. This rod is totally different to the Powertex Bass this rod is designed for very light lead work in the surf or gully fishing. It also designed to have the capability to throw pela crab or any soft bait without damaging it. This has been by enabled designing a rod with a soft throw action. Don't let the soft feel imply that it lacks power, it doesn't! It will in fact throw a 1 or 2 oz lead a very long way if required.(not the correct image ) 06/03

F 5000. This is very similar to the 3500 but with a thicker butt, it has an over all length of 13 ft 2 inches, a tip length of 7 ft 6 inches and a butt diameter of 1 inch, tip diameter is 4mm, butt length 6ft. Its optimum casting weight is 5.25 oz, sinker casting range of min 2oz to max 5oz. It has a brilliant long bow feel with stacks of power for big beach work ( not the correct image ) 06/03 jj

Sea Raider. Probably one of the finest up tide rods, 10 ft long in total with a tip of 7 ft. The fine tip of 3.5 mm gives the most sensitive of bite indications. The butt is exceedingly slim for a rod of this power and 13/16 in diameter and length of 3' 4''. The rod is rated at 6oz and finished in dark smoke grey. ( not the correct image ) 06/03

XTR GROUNDCASTER. One of the great originals, famous the world over the XTR in probably one of the most famous rods ever produced by Zziplex. It has now been elevated to the stasis of a New Zziplex Classic obtaining its original specification it is now being built with new generation carbon materials so it is now even lighter and powerful then the original while retaining the classic feel that is the XTR. The new Zziplex Primo has been designed to accommodate both Pendulum and Ground Casting styles.

The Zziplex Primo is not an out and out Tournament rod although, because of its unique action and construction, it has been shown to produce very competitive distances in the hands of all casters.

This rod is made of an ultra slim and yet powerful blank, it is capable of casting very long distances, but still gives the ultimate in sensitivity creating superb bite detection from long range fishing. The rod will cast from 4 - 6oz with no problems, and is another winner from the Zziplex stable. Finished with metallic thread to perfection. 06/03 jj (not the correct image )

4500HPM. It is 13’ (396cm) long and will cast weights of 4- 6ozs. The powerfull but slim rod will cast your baits out to those distant match winning fish whilst the sensitive tip will register the most delicate of bites. Best suited to low reel pendulum casting we feel this rod will be a winner with anglers fishing at range on relatively clean beaches. 06/03 jj
