Non-tripping loop tester 3 Phase safe Single or phase-phase loop testing Enables testing on 110 V centre tapped supplies. Easy Intuitive operation Tough rubber armoured case with built-in cover Weatherproof to IP54 Result storage and downloading USB interface A test option which is guaranteed not to trip RCDs, and safe operation even if accidentally connected to a live three-phase supply, are among the key benefits of Megger's new LT300 range of earth-impedance loop testers. These tough, easy-to-use instruments have been developed, after extensive customer research, specifically to address the needs of electrical contractors working in today's demanding and competitive market conditions. The new loop testers are easy to hold and use, even under difficult on-site conditions, and they have a robust rubber case with a built-in lid to protect the display, ensuring that they are easily able to withstand the rigours of day-to-day use. In addition, the instruments are IP54 ingress protection rated, indicating that they are exceptionally well protected against the entry of dust and water. To ensure an exact match with users' needs, Megger is currently initially offering its new LT300 loop testers in three versions. The entry-level Megger LT310 is ideal for those requiring instruments to carry out essential tests in line with the requirements of the 16th edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations. It performs phase-to-earth loop tests and prospective short-circuit current calculations, as well as indicating supply polarity and voltage. It offers a choice of non-tripping or fast, high-current loop testing, and conforms fully with the requirements of IEC61010-1 for Category III 300V applications. The Megger LT320 model provides all of the functionality of the Megger LT310, and adds facilities for phase-to-phase testing, supply frequency measurement, automatic calculation of final circuit impedance (R1+R2), the display of maximum Zs, and for checking phase rotation. It also incorporates a backlit display and illuminated selector switches, which aid testing in poorly lit environments. The Megger 330 model offers the added benefit data storage and downloading.

,000 and 40,000 count Dual display Analog bargraph updates 128 times every second True rms d.c. + a.c. and Average Responding Basic accuracy from 0.08% The M7000/M8000 Series of advanced analog/digital multimeters from Megger use the latest microprocessor technology to provide the most comprehensive measuring ranges and features in a hand held instrument. There are four instruments in the range, the two M7000 models are for more general applications yet still incorporate many advanced features, whereas the M8000 models have been designed to provide greater accuracy with additional extensive measuring capabilities. The M7000 units offer rugged dependability for use in the most severe field conditions. Both the M7027 and M7029 are supplied in rugged yellow cases with wrap around rubberized holsters for added protection against mishandling. The main difference between the models is that the 7027 has a basic accuracy of 0.3% and the M7029 has a basic accuracy of 0.2%. Both models have dual displays and the choice of operation in the 4,000 count or the higher resolution 40,000 count mode. The M8000 models provide more advanced features for applications requiring more extensive measuring capabilities. The M8037 is the is the top-of-the-line instrument. It measures TRMS dc and ac which will allow more accurate measurements of various waveforms: sine, sawtooth, square, pulse trains, triangle, spikes, etc., as well as distorted waveforms with the presence of harmonics. The M8037 also features a backlight display for easier reading in poorly illuminated areas. Both the M8035 and M8037 have basic accuracies of 0.08%, dual displays and the choice of operation in the manual or autoranging mode. Capacitance, frequency, conductance and diode test facilities are included as standard features, plus for more advanced measurement applications the ability to record, store, sort and compare results is also provided. 05/06 JJ
